Reawakening Integrated: Arts & Heritage presents a regional range of arts and heritage (A&H) opportunities to maximize cognitive function, as protection against onset and symptoms of dementia, based in Dorset, to recommend nationwide. Over 130 regular events are listed here, with 27 dementia-friendly A&H venues (click Dementia-Friendly Venues above), plus every library, eight further venues offering dementia services and 38 keen to achieve an Alzheimer’s Society DF certificate. The great thing about such venues is that they offer cognitive value and a warm welcome without being dementia specific, which, like our new events for mild memory loss, enable people to preserve fulfilling active life together in the community for as long as possible. These event lists provide at-a-glance activities of interest to be offered to patients on diagnosis and as post-diagnostic support – and for people affected by dementia and those who care for them. You can also make your own selection by post-code, art form and dementia need: arts for
