Norwich Playhouse

Norwich Playhouse is a superb venue in the heart of the city. This city centre theatre is known for its quirky, offbeat and brilliant shows, and its ever popular bar.

A firm favourite across Norwich, the Playhouse brings big-name comedians, fantastic Fringe productions, magnificent music, amazing drama, great family shows, and so much more to the region.

Our building offers level access to the foyer and bar, with automatic doors to the foyer. The Upper Gallery and balcony level of the auditorium are accessible to wheelchair users via a stair-lift. There are accessible toilet facilities on the terrace, which has step-free access from the bar, and in the Upper Gallery. The auditorium is equipped with an induction loop, with Sennheiser headsets available on request to offer hearing enhancement.

There are two disabled parking bays adjacent to the theatre, with level access to the front doors of the building.

Our staff receive regular disability awareness training and many have signed up to become Dementia Friends. We’re members of the Norwich Dementia Action Alliance and hope to contribute to Norwich becoming a Dementia Friendly City in 2018.
