Horsham Museum & Art Gallery

Horsham Museum & Art Gallery is delighted to welcome visitors living with dementia. All of the museum’s staff have undertaken dementia awareness training through the Alzheimer’s Society, and we have hosted dementia awareness information stands during Dementia Action Week.

With more than 26 galleries covering subjects from local trades to fashion, and prehistory to the poet Percy B. Shelley, the museum is larger than you think! The museum was nominated for the Sussex Business Awards Tourist Destination of the Year in 2018, and has been awarded the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for several years running.

We have ever changing temporary exhibitions, award winning sensory gardens and a children’s art and play room so there is something for everyone.

Horsham Museum and Art Gallery runs two popular Reminiscence loans services for local individual people to borrow, or for use within the care sector in Horsham District. More information on this wonderful service can be found on our website here:

We have an online 3D tour which can be a vital tool in getting a feel for the museum prior to your visit (https://www.horshammuseum.org/virtual-tour). For those visitors unable to access the upper floor we can provide a virtual reality headset so that they can enjoy the 3D tour and not miss out on the upper galleries.
