Royal Parks Half Marathon 2023

Be a part of Team A4D on Sunday, 8th October 2023!

The run

The course takes a 13.1 mile route, passing through Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James’s Park and Green Park. Runners and supporters have great views of the capital’s landmarks including Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, the Houses of Parliament and the Royal Albert Hall.

Supporters’ experience

With more than half of the course actually within Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, there are plenty of opportunities for supporters to see runners pass by and cheer them on. They will be able to follow your progress on the Royal Parks Half app, available nearer the time from App Store or Google Play.  And there’s food, entertainment and a fantastic atmosphere at the Royal Parks Festival!

About Arts 4 Dementia

A4D partners with arts venues to develop innovative, person-centred arts programmes to inspire people in the early stages of dementia and carers and help them live better for longer at home. A4D’s website uniquely signposts arts events nationwide for people living with dementia; and we provide early-stage dementia awareness training at London arts venues for arts facilitators from all over the country. The 1,100-plus workshop leaders we have trained to date are delivering arts opportunities to well over 18,000 people affected by dementia each year.  A4D focuses on what people can achieve – often very much more than they imagine.   We aim to give our participants the very best experience that we possibly can, in the most inspirational venues.  People affected by dementia looking for artistic stimulation can find opportunities on offer on this website, under Events.
