We are delighted to be working with Squircle Arts with support from the Torbay Community Development Trust to introduce a brand new weekly Memory Café at Torre Abbey Museum.

Memory Cafes provide stimulating activities and company for those with dementia, or for anyone who would enjoy the sessions, including family, friends and carers.

Each session will be led by a facilitator, joined by a different guest each week. These might include a musician or a gardener or perhaps a historian or dancer.

Visits will include time outdoors interacting with nature and being inspired by the beautiful grounds.

While many memory cafes take place in care homes or halls, what will make these sessions unique will be the wonderful setting. And the fact there will be tea and cake!
