Storytelling, Wednesdays 2pm - 3pm
A project bringing the traditional art of storytelling, music & reminiscence sessions to older people who are experiencing early-stage dementia & isolation. This is currently a closed group for DEEDS members running on Zoom.

DEEDS is delighted to be working with the fabulous Liz Weir, Storyteller in residence with the Armstrong Storytelling Trust, who is heading up a storytelling programme for our members on Zoom. The Armstrong Storytelling Trust is a registered charity that promotes the art of storytelling, develops new storytellers and preserves and enhances access to stories in communities throughout Northern Ireland.

Storytelling is part of our ancient tradition in Ireland. Before people learned how to write, they would tell each other stories and this helped keep stories alive.

Storytelling also helps people to connect through listening to stories and engaging in conversation as our imaginations are fired.
