Step in Time supports older people to lead independent and meaningful lives in connection with their communities through a programme of regular dance sessions incorporating safe and progressive exercises to build strength and balance. Our work applies all the physical, expressive and social benefits of dance – addressing specific health conditions whilst working with the whole person.
Supporting those at risk of falls, with long term health and cognitive conditions, the sessions would be suitable for those with mild to moderate dementia, particularly if they can attend with a carer.
Originally meeting weekly in Paignton, we now meet on Zoom weekly and gradually are introducing movement into social sessions.
Please contact Clare Parker for details.
