Kiln Theatre Dementia Friendly Screening: Sister Act
for participants
for carers
Join us for our upcoming Dementia Friendly Screening at Kiln Theatre of 'Sister Act'.
Nightclub singer Delores (Whoopi Goldberg) is witness to a mob hit and the authorities need to sequester her away before she becomes a victim herself. The only place she can be hidden? A nunnery, obviously! Delores will have to win over the Mother Superior (a sublime Maggie Smith) and bring some funk to proceedings, all while making sure her cover isn’t blown. Whoopi Goldberg was never better than in this comedy/musical hybrid, replete with gospel classics.
----
During the screening, the lights will be on higher, and the sound is down lower to create an easy environment for all to enjoy. Audience members are welcome to come in and out of the auditorium during the screening and experience it in a way that makes them most comfortable, whether that be in silence or by singing along. All responses are welcome.
On arrival at Kiln, we have Front of House Assistants on hand to guide and assist audiences through our venue.
There is level access to the Cinema via our lift, located near the Box Office. The back row of the Cinema auditorium is also level access and there are gradual stairs throughout the rest of the auditorium.
There is also plenty of space for mobility equipment that needs to be stored during the screening.
