Free Music and Movement Workshops – Attleborough Group

Free

Free
for carers

Arts charity Creative Arts East run free regular music & dance workshops across Norfolk that help older people (including carers, those living with a dementia and other long-term health conditions) engage and participate in high-quality music and dance activities. Each session is fun and inclusive, and the participants find it a great way to try new activities and socialise. The artists who deliver the sessions change regularly so that the participants have the chance to try lots of different art forms. Past activities have included song-writing, contemporary dance with Rambert, African drumming and even belly-dancing! No prior experience is necessary, the sessions are suitable for all abilities and can be taken part seated or standing.

This programme has a hugely positive impact in terms of improving wellbeing and decreasing loneliness and isolation amongst our participants. The Our Day Out workshops take place twice monthly in eight locations across Norfolk (Dereham, Hunstanton, Downham Market, Thetford, Watton, Attleborough, Wells and North Walsham), and we always want to welcome new participants to join in!
