Finsbury Park from Home: dementia friendly free workshops

2NQ are a not-for-profit organisation developing community arts, cultural and heritage programmes in Finsbury Park. We are organising a programme of remote, free, workshops all about the history and environment of Finsbury Park. They were planned pre Coronavirus and are now being adapted for an remote format. The sessions are specifically for older people with dementia and carers, and also anyone else (also older) who is feeling vulnerable at the moment.

Workshop packs will be sent through the post containing workbooks, art supplies (watercolours, colouring pencils, nice paper) to complete all activities, disposable cameras to document, biscuits and more. There will be the option to come together to explore packs in weekly Zoom sessions, or if the internet is not available to people, we can call. This is free to get involved in (funded kindly by the Heritage Lottery) and will begin at the end of May and run until early July. There are limited places though and we advise people sign up as soon as they can.

Please get in contact with Katy Hawkins at heritage@2nq.uk or on 07936 909588 to find out more and register.
