The Towpath Taskforce offers a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and staff, learn new practical skills or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.

Join us for our regular work parties across the beautiful Erewash Canal, which meanders through the countryside and towns between Trent Lock and Langley Mill. Taking place every Thursday between 10am and 2pm the Erewash Towpath Taskforce is a great way of getting involved to improve and enhance your local canal.

Tasks will vary throughout the year and will change with the seasons - tasks could include vegetation management, planting, towpath repair, painting gates and barriers, fence repair and painting lock gates. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support and refreshments.
