This workshop programme is for people experiencing early-stage dementia, mild cognitive impairment or memory challenges and their companions.

Arts 4 Dementia and The Royal Collection are delighted to offer a 6-week exhibition tour and textiles workshop at The Queen’s Gallery this summer.

Join us and marvel at the brand-new Style & Society: Georgian Fashion Exhibition! During the sessions Catherine, one of the Gallery’s brilliant guides will be taking us through the collection, focusing on a different theme each week from undergarments and accessories to materials and fabrics.

At the end of the tour, you will take part in a practical workshop in the gallery with the brilliant textile Artist, Alice Burnhope. Taking inspiration from the paintings and objects you have been introduced to, you will create your own Georgian-inspired artworks. Learn how to stitch, applique and collage with a variety of materials in the gallery space.

If this sounds appealing to you, please get in touch. Please note the programme is FREE of charge and all materials, and light refreshments will be provided.
