Dementia Friendly Museums Programme

Pre-pandemic Mid Antrim Museum delivered dementia friendly programmes on site. In light of the COVID-19, programmes moved online and the museum has delivered 6 weekly online programmes called ‘Love to Move’ and ‘Museums, Memories and Movement.’

These programmes were funded and supported by the Northern Ireland Museums Council’s Dementia Friendly Museums Programme.

At present these are closed sessions for groups within the Mid and East Antrim area to encourage social interaction, reminiscence activity and gentle movement.
