CREATIVE CONNECTIONS: INSPIRING TEXTILES WITH PIETER VAN DER WERF

Creative Connections is a series of free online workshops for adults over the age of 60 in the Western Isles. The weekly workshops offered by Pieter van der Werf / Studio Orains will be focused on textiles in the home. Together with a small group of up to eight other participants you’ll create a felted wall hanging for your own home.

Discover also the plant materials used to dye the wool for the studio, as you and Pieter will go on a virtual botanical walk along the shores of Loch Riddon. You’ll have ample opportunity to share your own creative experiences and stories with your fellow workshop participants, and see how each individual wall hanging is developed.

You will receive a pack of art materials with everything you need for the course.To take part you need a computer, internet access and a clear workspace. If you don’t have a computer you can borrow a laptop from An Lanntair for the duration of the course.
