The Art Space is a project for people living with dementia and their carers.

We meet once per week on a Tuesday over six weeks, discovering different parts of the Museum and its collection, as well as making our own art. No previous experience of the Museum or of art-making is needed – our focus is on having fun as a group and learning new things.

The dates this year will be: 25th July, 1st August, 8th August, 15th August, 22rd August, 29th August.

The first 5 sessions run:
2pm—3:30pm
The last session runs:
2pm—4pm

We are able to organise transport if this would be helpful. Inside, standard wheelchairs are usually too big for our narrow corridors and doorways; so visitors with wheelchairs larger than 41cm wide, 84cm deep and a height of 82cm, will be asked to transfer to our own specially manufactured narrow wheelchairs.
