Royal Parks Half Marathon 2023 – An amazing achievement!

On Sunday October 8, our fabulous team of 23 runners endured the unseasonably warm weather to complete a 13.1 mile Royal Parks Half Marathon. It was such an incredible effort made by everyone!

We are so grateful to each and every one, with special mentions for Colin Senez, who raised over £2,000, the Solomons sisters Jess, Megan and Niamh, running in memory of their nanny Pat, who raised over £1,500, Ram Krishnan who raised over £1,000, Nick Rowlands who was running in memory of his mum Helen raised over £900 and Team Ridgeway from Ridgeway Investment Management, whose 9 runners Jo and Simon Smith, Felix Wintle, Rob and Mark Edsell, James and Alice Maltin, James Cook and Charlotte Cuthbertson, have raised a whopping £6,000 between them!! Thank you so much – this is an incredible 8th year for them running for Arts 4 Dementia. Also, a shout out to the amazing Francesca who unfortunately was unable to run due to an injury but came along to help out and cheer on the team! We are looking forward to cheering her on at the 2024 event.

Thank you for your efforts and incredible achievement – Alice Burnhope; Katrina Dalley; Barney Bartlett; Matty Loane; Paul Storrs; Rena Lavery and are very own Emily Taylor!

Total funds raised, including Gift Aid, as we write, are a phenomenal £19,707!! (You can see this grand total at the foot of the campaign page). Thank you so much – everyone!

Here are some memories of the event. I’m sorry we didn’t get everyone. If you would like to contribute a photo, email it to christina@arts4dementia.org.uk
