Discover the art of making music with Calypso and Irish Folk song musicians

Arts 4 Dementia and Ashford Place are delighted to offer an 6-week music-making programme with musicians Alex D Great and Kate Millet in a Calypso and Irish Folk song fusion.

Each session will focus on a different theme, inspiring the music for that day. Participants will experiment with different sounds, instruments and memories to form their own songs. Expect discussion, participation and even some singing and dancing!

The last 30 minutes of each workshop will be a time to reflect and socialise, with tea, coffee and light refreshments.

These workshops are aimed at those living with early-stage dementia, who are invited to attend with a companion – whether a friend, family member or carer. No previous experience is required.  It is all about giving it a go!

The workshop is free of charge.
