StAn’s Café Virtual Event - Cupcake Day
10:00am - 1:00pm
Come join us at our interactive Zoom Virtual Café
We will also be streaming the virtual café LIVE on Facebook.
As usual, we will be uploading the content presented during the virtual café at the Discussion tab of this event, so that you may revisit anytime after the event. This is also where you will find information on how to join us on Zoom as well as material lists for you to prepare if you would like to make along with our live demonstrations. See our Facebook Event.
If you are camera shy, no worries - just turn off your camera option when you join us in our Zoom Virtual Café.
This month we bring you our Cupcake Day Virtual Café packed with interesting content and 'make along' activities for all ages. We celebrate Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day in support of their Emergency Coronavirus Appeal. Our amazing volunteer pastry chef Avery will be sharing his Vegan Lemon Cupcake recipe LIVE!
We also support Carer's Week and will learn from Age UK / Islington Carers Hub how they are supporting our amazing carers. And just because we can - we celebrate National Chocolate Ice Cream Day, and you guessed it - we have a Make Along Chocolate Ice Cream segment. To top it all off we will celebrate Father's Day with lots of music, quizzes and fun facts throughout the event. We even have a Guest Artist segment for Mary's Music.
So that you do not miss out on a particular segment that you are interested in, we have included a schedule of our program:
|10:15||Make Along - Chocolate Ice Cream|
|10:45||Guest Speaker - Carer's Week|
|11:10||Craft Along - Father's Day|
|11:30||Guest Artist - Mary's Music|
|11:45||Guest Speaker - Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day|
|12:10||Bake Along - Vegan Lemon Cupcakes|
|12:50||Chatty Café/Show and Tell|
We will upload the material lists for all the activities for those who want to follow along with us on the day, so watch this space.
As a support to our community especially during our lockdown due to #COVID19, we hope by hosting these virtual cafés we will bring some fun, stimulation, promote wellness, togetherness and community spirit.
Please do make yourself comfortable at home with your cup of tea and a plate of treats or home bakes, and join us at our Virtual Café event. Share this with your family and friends, and ask them to join along and have some fun. If you know of someone who cannot access our event, why not telephone and share with them some of our content and activities - we can still be connected. You deserve it!
Everyone from anywhere in the world is welcome!
See you on the 20th June.
