Doorstep Discoveries
for participants
for carers

'Doorstep Discoveries' is a 16 week project, run by Open Art Box in partnership with Stevenage Museum and North Herts Museum.
Participants will receive a weekly activity box delivered to their door, that will include photographs and information about an artefact from one of the museum's collections.
Each week participants will be invited to explore a different artefact, through an arts activity developed by Open Art Box artists, along with their support through a weekly phone or video call.
The activities are designed to encourage personal reflection and engagement with the museum's collection and a chance to explore the personal thoughts and feelings these objects provoke.
Doorstep Discoveries is funded by Arts Council England and is designed for people living at home with early-stage/moderate dementia and their carers, based in the Stevenage and North Herts area.
