Programme of six workshops for people affected by early-stage dementia and companions

Monday mornings, 10.45 am – 12.30 pm
6-week programme, August 20, 27; September 3, 10, 17, 24, 2019
Garden Museum, Lambeth Palace Road, London SE1 7LB

Led by ceramic artist Katie Spragg and supported by friendly volunteers, these weekly workshops for people affected by early stage dementia and their companions will provide an introduction to working with clay exploring our connection to objects, memories, souvenirs and place.

Based in the beautiful setting of the Garden Museum, Katie will demonstrate techniques to create objects and sculptures from clay, inspired by the nature celebrated at the museum. The pieces created will be fired in the kiln ready to take home at the end of the workshops.

The workshops are free of charge for people living with early-stage dementia and their companions. You need to register in advance by calling Janine on the number shown below. As places are limited, early registration is recommended and participants and their companions registering are invited to attend all sessions.

No prior experience necessary!
