Sensory Trust have set up these walks for people with dementia and their carers to get outside and meet like minded people. Each week we will be going to a different area to explore the landscape (both natural and industrial), chat and get some fresh air. The walks are fairly short and flexible to suit the needs and wants of the group each week (not to mention the weather). Best of all we always aim to finish with a hot cuppa and a biscuit, we have earned it after all! We know that walking and exercise in general really helps improve circulation, promotes restful sleep and can enhance moods. We also believe that spending time outdoors and connecting with nature can enhance general feelings of well-being.
We are looking for more people to join this group in order to keep it going. If you or someone you know would like to join, please get in touch with Ellie on firstname.lastname@example.org
